Ellen was a 2015 recipient of the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. Ellen also organized the [Supporting Inclusion of Underrepresented Peoples (SPIN UP) Workshop and Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics (CUWiP)](http://cuwip2017.physics.harvard.edu) held at Harvard University in January, 2017. In 2013 Ellen received her B.S. in Intensive Physics from Yale University where she worked with Prof. Bonnie Fleming.
