Emily was a PhD student in Applied Physics studying the statistical mechanics of DNA-mediated colloidal interactions. She designed dynamic colloidal systems with precisely controlled and tunable binding strength and temperature dependence. She received her B.S. in Physics in 2012 from Carnegie Mellon University and her PhD from Harvard in 2018.
