Dr. Young-Seok Kim was a visiting scholar in 2012 who collaborated with the group on photonic pigments for display applications.

Former undergraduate researcher who worked to understand how capillary forces can manipulate micrometer-sized particles. 

Julia was a visiting undergraduate researcher who studied phycobilisome dissociation and diffusion in cyanobacteria. Outside of the lab, Julia enjoys very long walks and visual arts.

Ava was a Masters student in the Physics department. She worked on understanding cyanobacterial lysis. Ava is a fan of chocolate treats and hiking - even better if they are together!  She earned her Masters degree in 2025.

Ahmed was a PhD student in Applied Physics studying capillary machines. Ahmed is also a connoisseur of foreign and art-house films! Ahmed earned his PhD from Harvard in Spring 2025.

Aditya was an undergraduate researcher from Harvard College, where he concentrated in Physics.  He worked on characterizing and synthesizing artificial cells using DNA nanotechnology.

Caroline was a PhD student in Applied Physics. She studied colloidal self-assembly by characterizing short-ranged interactions and designing DNA-mediated interactions. She has undergraduate degrees in physics and English, and spends her free time reading...

Lev was an undergraduate researcher from Harvard College, where he concentrated in Physics.  He worked on methods to measure short-range colloidal interactions using digital holographic microscopy.

Jessica was a PhD student in Materials Science who studied self-assembly on curved surfaces.  She earned her PhD in 2024.
